Pi FESTIVAL AND EINSTEIN'S BIRTHDAY
Any way you slice it, the Pi Festival at the Museum of Science and History will be loads of fun! We’ll be celebrating the mathematical constant pi (3.14159265358979323846) along with the birthday of the mathematical genius Albert Einstein with mind-blowing activities in Innovation Studios throughout the weekend. Pi activities will begin Friday, March 12, at 3:14 p.m. and conclude Sunday, March 14, at 5 p.m. Learn more.

ENTER THE WORLD OF AVATAR LIKE NEVER BEFORE
IN THE OMNI THEATER, AN IMAX DOME!
Experience a world beyond imagination on the biggest screen in the Southwest. The Hollywood blockbuster from James Cameron will show in 2D on the Omni’s domed screen every evening, beginning March 12 through April 22. Avatar takes you to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately fighting to save the alien world he has learned to call home. Tickets for this extended-length special engagement film are $12 for adults and $10 for children (3-12) and seniors (60+). Museum members receive a $3 discount. Celebrate our planet’s relationship to the sun through solar cooking, safe solar viewing, investigations with sunlight, solar panel demonstrations, and more. Free for members and with paid exhibit admission. Dedication of the Museum's Green Mountain Energy solar panels will kick off the event. 11 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Fragile Planet Opens in the Noble Planetarium
Earth is the only known haven for life …that we know of. Come take the pulse of the Earth with us and explore the importance of the Moon. Are there other possible “islands of life” in our universe? Let’s explore newly-discovered exoplanets to see if other “habitable zones” exist.
