Hands-on Science Partnerships
Day-long or year-long! Design your own campus-improvement strategy through customized professional development, Discovery Labs on Wheels or a Family Science Festival.
Discovery Labs on Wheels Plus - Grades 3-6 Combine professional development and a classroom experience with this program. The Discovery Labs on Wheels Plus program offers a one-hour planning and coaching session with Museum staff, two visits to the classroom and the materials to do the investigation with your class.
Program fee: $250 plus a travel fee of $25. Minimum: 3 programs per day; Maximum: 5 programs per day Program options include:
Life Science: Snails
In this inquiry-based experience, students will explore snail preferences for textures and foods.
Chemistry: Dissolving Students will use candy to investigate the factors that affect dissolving.
Earth Science: Streamtables
Students will use streamtables to identify erosion and deposition as they plan and conduct investigations and communicate findings.
