STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Full-Time

Staff member who will assist Accounting Department in various accounting functions that include data entry for daily admissions, issuing invoices for Museum programs, cash counts, voucher pre-sales program and various other job tasks.

Responsibilities: (including but not limited to):

  • Prepare invoices for Museum programs (Discovery Lab on Wheels, Distance Learning, Family Science Festivals, Planetarium and other general invoicing)

  • Maintain A/R records in MIP with monthly reconciliations

  • Distribute monthly A/R aged report to Department Managers

  • Follow up with past due accounts

  • Enter Ticket Office daily into MIP

  • Sort and Handle large amounts of change

  • Promote Omni Ticket Voucher Program

  • Manage Omni Ticket consignment vouchers with quarterly billing

  • Prepare monthly account and bank reconciliations

  • Submit weekly order to Staples office supply

  • Other Accounting duties as needed 

 Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree preferred

  • Five plus years office work

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills

  • Experience with money handling and point of sales software, preferably Patron Edge

  • Friendly and outgoing communication skills

  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs.
