For almost 20 years, the Museum has partnered with Southern Methodist University faculty on important paleontological work: from excavating bones and fossils at sites in Texas to preparing the fossils for research and exhibitions.
CAMPAIGN DONORS
Extended thanks to our Light the Lantern Campaign Donors who through their generous contributions supported our $80 million capital campaign to build the new facility which opened in November 2009. Over 2000 donors contributed to this community wide effort to include an unprecedented number of donors contributing $1million or more... to children collecting money for their birthdays and hosting lemonade stands. 100% of the Museum's board and full time staff also participated in the campaign. Donors are permanently recognized in a leather bound book on display in the Museum's Atrium.
