Sales Specialist

The Sales Specialist is the front line of the retail team at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.  As a valued member, the Sales Specialist will serve a key role as the primary contact with guests in the retail store, customer sales and service, inventory stocking and merchandising, and overall store appearance.

Basic Function and Responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Customer sales and service
  • Accurate cash handling
  • Ensures all areas meet show quality standards
  • Accurately perform physical inventory counts
  • Active participation with guests, demonstrating products and selling merchandise
  • Restock merchandise, maintaining appearance of displays and organization of merchandise
  • Maintains product and exhibit knowledge to provide outstanding customer service

Qualifications:

  • Passion for working with all ages in a retail setting
  • Sales ability
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to learn computer POS system
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Be able to stay on feet for complete shift
  • Ability to bend and squat
  • Effective verbal communication skills
