When established in 1941, the Museum was the first children's museum in Texas and one of the first children's museums in the nation.

Even from her earliest days playing golf, Angela Stanford wanted perfection and victory. A native of Fort Worth, Stanford informed her father when she was only ten years old that she would one day play golf for Texas Christian University (TCU). And she did!
