Engineers Week Activities
Here are just a few of the activities we have engineered for you!
Amazing Electronics: Learn about the latest in technology from Mouser Electronics and check out their fascinating projects.
Meet Pepper the Robot: Explore cognitive computing by interacting with Pepper and IBM engineers.
Flight Simulator: Meet Lockheed Martin engineers and fly a Lockheed Martin flight simulator.
Electrical Explorations: Go beyond basic circuitry to create scribbling robots, movable paper figures and circuits that use Play-Doh “wires.”
Pachinko Play: Discover how friction and slopes affect marbles or balls rolling down ramps.
Interact with Engineers: Each day our Museum will be filled practicing engineers available to answer your questions and lead you in engaging challenges.
Experiment with Moving Air: Build fanciful flying machines that hover in vertical wind tunnels.
Paper Airplane Engineering: Explore variables and learn tricks to create paper airplanes.
Construction Challenges: Amuse yourself with building challenges in our Innovation Studios.
Happy City: Engineering and art collide when you combine cardboard boxes, conductive tape, batteries and miniature LEDs to create a whimsical building for our Happy City (Thursday and Saturday only).
Students Teaching Students: We will showcase outstanding engineering projects and challenges from student groups around the metroplex.
All activities are included with paid exhibit admission.
Please note, activities are offered on a rotating basis.
