When established in 1941, the Museum was the first children's museum in Texas and one of the first children's museums in the nation.

For more than 64 years, Museum School® at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has been opening young minds to a world of natural wonder. Museum School offers discovery-based science and history classes in creative learning environments along with a distinctive curriculum that is supported by the Museum’s science and history collections. Offered throughout the summer – for children who will be age 3, 4, or 5 by May 31, 2013 and children entering kindergarten through sixth grade in fall 2013 – these fun classes feature natural and physical science, creativity, engineering and more!
