Abuelita’s Kitchen: Mexican Food Stories
February 9 | 10:00 am - April 28 | 5:00 pm
Abuelita’s Kitchen: Mexican Food Stories shares the food stories of Indigenous, mestiza, Mexican-American, and Afro-Mexican grandmothers, or abuelas. The exhibition examines food, identity, place, and culture, showing how these abuelas preserve traditions for future generations. This exhibit is included with general admission or museum membership. This exhibit can be found on the first floor, in our temporary exhibits gallery at the back of the Innovation Studios Gallery. Plan your visit today!
Abuelita’s Kitchen: Mexican Food Stories was developed by USC professor Sarah Portnoy with support from California Humanities and LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes. The exhibition tours through Exhibit Envoy.
