Girls in STEM

Step into the world of STEM with a FREE afterschool program for girls in 3rd – 5th grade this fall! Girls are encouraged to explore a wide range of hands-on activities that relate STEM concepts to the world around them.

Girls in STEM uses developmentally appropriate, experiential, engaging, project-based learning to foster curiosity, imagination, and ingenuity. With our science specimens, historical artifacts, breakthrough technology, and engaging exhibits, students are encouraged to explore, imagine, and inquire. Class topics vary each session, always keeping an engineering focus with a creative slant. Activities are designed so that students are able to construct their own knowledge of the world through hands-on experiences. Students will engage in hands-on activities to extend the lesson.

Classes begin September 19th and run each Tuesday or Thursday through December 14th.
