Project Planet Volunteer

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is an extraordinary place to learn – but we need your help to make it even better! If you care about the environment – and just plain love learning – then you might be the perfect volunteer for our upcoming exhibit, Project Planet.

In Project Planet, opening April 2020, guests will explore what it means for the Earth’s climate to be changing faster than ever. How do scientists study our weather and climate? Which methods for adapting to this new world are right for Texas? How can you make a meaningful contribution? As a Project Planet volunteer, you’ll help us put a local face on this global challenge.

Is this for me?

This opportunity could be right for you if:

  • You’re at least 16 years old
  • You have time available on weekends, weekdays or in the evening
  • You’re comfortable speaking and interacting with small groups
  • You can pass a standard background check

This experience would be extra-awesome if (but don’t worry if not!):

  • You have a background in science, technology, engineering, art or education
  • You are conversational in a language other than English
