Studio Team Member (Part-Time)
Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Innovation Studios Supervisor, the Studio Team Member’s main responsibilities include guest experience enhancement and educational activity facilitation of the Innovation Gallery and Studio through engagement around exhibits, hands-on activities, live science and technology demonstrations, and public festivals.
Basic Functions and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Proactively seek out guests and initiate conversations to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Comfortably interact with diverse groups of varying ages, backgrounds, knowledge levels, learning styles, and special needs.
- Learn exhibit content and activities that are based in STEM/STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design, and Math) and share them in exciting and creative ways with diverse audiences.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for studios and exhibit galleries, ensuring safety protocols, managing supplies, and maintaining studio appearance.
- Work independently to identify jobs that need to be done and follow through with little direction, while being able to adapt to working cooperatively with other team members.
- Contribute to the positive team culture by bringing creativity and enthusiasm to your role.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Comfortable learning a wide variety of subjects with a team or independently, including, but not limited to, science, history, engineering, art, and design.
- Ability to positively meet challenges in an ever-changing environment with creativity and flexibility.
- Multi-tasking and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently, as well as effectively with team members.
Preferred, but not required:
- Bachelor’s degree with an interest in science, history, education, museum studies, or a related field.
- Experience in teaching, theatrical performance, or public speaking.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Schedule: Shifts primarily during the day, with flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business needs.
Salary: $16/hr.
