Homeschool Family Science Club is an exciting hands-on program designed for children ages 5-11
and their adult to work together and dive into the world of science.
Perfect for curious learners and families who love to explore, create, and experiment together!
Museum admission is required.
The class ticket price does not include admission to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History.
All program materials are included in the program price.

Build it! Engineering Adventures
September 16 | 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Become an engineer for the day! Families will discover how engineers solve problems using the Engineering Design Process while tackling creative, hands-on challenges. Students will imagine, design, build, test, and improve their own creations while exploring forces, gravity, kinetic and potential energy, and energy transfer by constructing an exciting chain reaction ball run.
Bird Beaks & Beyond
October 21 | 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Discover how birds are uniquely adapted to survive in their environments! Students will investigate different bird beaks and the foods they are designed to eat while exploring the incredible world of animal adaptations. Families will also have the opportunity to examine fascinating specimens from the Museum's collections and learn how birds have evolved specialized features to help them thrive.
Colorful Chemistry
November 18 | 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Get ready for an exciting introduction to chemistry! Students will explore the difference between physical and chemical changes while observing a chemical reaction up close. Using the scientific method, they'll formulate a simple experiment, develop their own hypothesis, and test their predictions using a variety of provided materials. It's a colorful, hands-on way to discover the science happening all around us!
