February 26 | Noon – 5 PM
From hands-on demonstrations to engaging talks from professional engineers, there is something for everyone during Engineers Week. Guests can participate in open-ended engineering challenges and hands-on experiments that explore basic engineering principles.
“Hosting Engineers Week is an incredible way for the museum to share engineering connections with the community,” says Orlando Carvalho, president of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. “With engineering, anything is possible and Engineers Week is the catalyst for innovation and ideas from future generations.”
This year’s Engineers Week theme — Creating the Future — recognizes how engineers play a vital role in innovating solutions to global challenges that impact future generations. By working together to develop new technologies, products and opportunities, engineers create new possibilities that make the world a better place.
Engineers Week partners include Lockheed Martin, Mouser Electronics, Burns & McDonnell, the C.R. Smith Museum, Nolan Catholic High School, iCode Southlake, the National Space Society of North Texas, Birdville Independent School District, Tarrant County 4H, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
