The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History Announces Two New Exhibits

Enter into the world of Fort Worth’s livestock show with “Step Into the Stock Show,” an exhibit showcasing artifacts and video from the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Objects from the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo’s archives, as well as the museum’s own collection, are nestled side by side. Guests will have a chance to see Amon G. Carter’s Stetson hat, dress saddles, and more. Glimpse how the history of Stock Show is woven through the contemporary event with information about events and exhibitors.

Explore the rich history and enduring legacy of the iconic law enforcement agency with the Texas Ranger Bicentennial. The exhibit will showcase a wide range of artifacts, including original documents, weapons, and other historical items from the Texas Rangers’ 200-year history. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about the Rangers’ role in protecting and serving the people of Texas, as well as their many contributions to the state’s rich cultural heritage.

The museum encourages visitors to come and learn about the important role the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has played in the history of Fort Worth, and to celebrate the bicentennial of the Texas Rangers. “Step Into the Stock Show” will be on view for the duration of the 2023 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Museum members receive free admission to the Stock Show grounds, including the Moo-seum Experience presented by Central Market.
