Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi Soars at the Omni Theater, an IMAX® Dome

It’s an out of this world 70mm 2D IMAX® film experience

Fort Worth, TX (October 10, 2017) — Tickets are on sale now for Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and
History’s Omni Theater, an IMAX® dome. The film opens at the Omni Theater and nationally on December 15, with early showings set for Thursday, December 14. Star Wars fans and film buffs agree the 70mm 2D immersive experience found at the Omni Theater makes this one of the best screens in the country to view the film.

In Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, Luke Skywalker’s peaceful and solitary existence gets upended when he meets Rey, a young woman who seemingly embodies the Force. Having taken her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens (2015), Rey continues her epic journey in the next chapter of the saga.

The Omni Theater offers a fully immersive IMAX Experience® via its innovative tilt-domed screen. This viewing experience is the largest of its kind west of the Mississippi River. The eight-story tall and 120-foot wide screen puts you in the cockpit of your very own X-Wing Starfighter. The theater features 70mm film projection which combines the brightest, clearest images at almost 10 times the resolution of standard projection formats, with powerful, laser-aligned digital sound and customized theater geometry to create the world’s most captivating film experience.

Fans who choose to arrive in costume are reminded Museum policy will be enforced and the following items are prohibited:

  • Facial masks
  • Weapons

If previous Star Wars films are any indication, the Omni Theater will likely sellout quickly for opening weekend. Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi’s expected MPAA rating is PG-13. Tickets are $14 and can be purchased online or by phone at 817-255‐9540.
