Cinco in the District is a free community celebration featuring an array of attractions and activities. From a lowrider showcase to mouthwatering food-truck fare, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this exciting event. Along with free admission to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, the Cattle Raisers Museum, and the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame, guests can also expect to find talented vendors and enjoy live entertainment like mariachis, fashion shows, ballet folklorico performances and more. New this year, is a Selena look-alike contest for adults, teens, and children. Participants will show off their best outfits and performances inspired by the “Cumbia Queen” for a chance to win a cash prize!
Visitors will also want to take advantage of the opportunity to pay a final visit to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History’s traveling exhibit, Abuelita’s Kitchen: Mexican Food Stories, which provides a deeper dive into food traditions and how these recipes and traditions have shaped generations of Mexican-American culture. Abuelita’s Kitchen: Mexican Food Stories will be on display until May 4th, 2025.

Aside from music, food, and entertainment, attendees will get to partake in a multitude of family-friendly activities and visit Cultura Markets’ artisan vendors, offering a curated selection of Mexican American crafts and goods. Plus a special Lowrider Auto showcase featuring various car clubs promises to captivate automotive enthusiasts and casual observers alike.
