On February 25 – 27, Celebrate National Engineers Week
Fort Worth, TX (February 22, 2022) —
Join the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in celebrating National Engineers Week with a special three day event! From Friday, February 25 to Sunday, February 27, imagine, create, and build through STEAM-based activities at the museum as well as online. Guests can complete engineering challenges with recyclables, build their own batteries, test the conductivity of various materials, and even take apart technology to learn how it works!
“Engineers Week is a time for us to explore a dense field in a hands-on way. Guests interact with real engineers and make connections to the world of STEM that can inspire a new generation of engineering,” said Amber Shive, Senior Director of Education. “Through STEAM-based activities, guests can truly become a civil engineer as they explore ways to build their own bridge. We are excited to bring guests back to the museum for active participation in the world of Engineering!”
National Engineers Week is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers. Meet engineers from local business and professional groups such as Lockheed Martin and the American Society of Civil Engineers, Fort Worth Chapter. Interact with students from the Birdville Center for Technology and Advanced Learning as they explore how rockets work.
