Special Poster Giveaway Planned for First 500 Guests
Last year, Wired.com named the Omni Theater IMAX Dome one of the seven best theaters in the country to screen last year’s The Force Awakens. “Guests come to the Omni for the kind of giant screen film experience you just don’t find anywhere else in North Texas,” said Omni Theater Director Jonathan Orr. “Star Wars fans in particular really appreciate the fully immersive technology the Omni Theater provides.” The first 500 guests in line for the screenings on December 15th will also receive an exclusive Rogue One: A Star Wars Story poster.
The Omni Theater’s 120-foot-wide screen places the audience in the center of the action, producing a sensation much closer to real-life than a conventional movie theater. The experience is enhanced by the Omni Theater’s state of the art sound system. Fifty speakers driven by eight amplifiers produce more than 24,000 watts of sound through six channels.
In its history spanning three decades, the Omni Theater has featured nearly 100 giant-screen adventures. A single 40-minute feature requires approximately 13,000 feet of film contained on a reel weighing 200 pounds. Tickets for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story may be purchased online.
