Dive into a world of interactive exhibits that cater to all ages, like “Black Cowboys: An American Story” and “Cowtown Takes Flight.” Immerse yourself in captivating planetarium shows, exploring the wonders of the upcoming total solar eclipse with “Totality Over Texas.” Stop by the café to play family-friendly games with your group, then check out a special Virtual Reality study in the Innovation Studios.
“Black Cowboys: An American Story” takes guests back in time to meet remarkable men, women, and children. Explore how they mastered the art of ranching, wrangled cattle across vast landscapes, and left their mark on American history. Through artifacts, photos, and stories, guests will discover a more complete picture of the West, one that celebrates the diversity and contributions of Black cowboys.
“Cowtown Takes Flight” whisks guests away on a journey through Fort Worth’s soaring history. This temporary exhibit tells the tale of how Fort Worth went from dusty fields with daring pilots to a leader in the world of airplanes, both commercial and military. Explore the fascinating stories of aviation through a treasure trove of photos, artifacts, and even interactive experiences.
Guests can enjoy the wonderful taste of Chick-fil-A in the museum’s café, or head outside to grab a bite from local food trucks such as Dough Boy Donuts, Heim Barbecue, Magdalena’s, or Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee!
